The Golf Academy
The Golf Academy, which opened in 1994, enshrines the philosophy that improving a player's performance improves their enjoyment of the game. The academy, which includes a covered 320 yard double-ended driving range with capacity for 40 golfers, provides an important focus for developing a player's short game in addition to improving play from the tee.
The team of PGA professional coaches improve the performance of enthusiastic beginners and advanced players alike, through lessons and instruction. Two swing rooms use the latest Dartfish software to analyse and perfect every aspect of your game – starting with your grip, your posture, the rhythm of your swing and the consistency of your contact with the ball.
There is also an eleven acre championship standard practice ground designed for play behind or into the prevailing wind and for practice of all aspects of the golf game.
Golfers are increasingly aware of the value of instruction and the Golf Academy at Gleneagles is the centre of excellence for the teaching of golf in Scotland.
Our philosophy is that golf should be fun, and whether your aim is to win the Open or just improve your handicap, fun in golf comes from playing better."
